10-kt gold is 10/24 or 41.66% pure gold, no precious metals less than 10 karats can legally be marked or sold as gold jewelry in the U.S.
In the United States, 14-karat gold is 14/24 or 58.33% parts pure gold, is the most common degree of fineness. 18-karat gold is 18/24 or 75% pure gold and wedding rings of this fineness are marked 18k or 750.
